Job Description
The Sr Mgr, Software Engineering directs the software systems development
function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of
software programs for software enhancements and new products. Selects,
develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the
function. Skills/Experience: Requires MS/MBA/MA degree or equivalent with 12 or
more years of related experience and 8 or more years of direct management
experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in
a fast moving, dynamic environment. Excellent communication (written and
verbal) and organizational skills. Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of
division/business unit strategic objectives and goals. Excellent planning and
problem solving skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and limited
resource environment. Dynamic, motivated, and results oriented creative
thinker.
Desired Candidate Profile
Excellent knowledge of storage technologies like SAN, NAS, and/or
Object based storage
Experience in performance tuning and profiling
Relevant experience of 8 years or more in Storage domain
Possess strong analytical skills with excellent problem solving
abilities
Knowledge of storage and network subsystem of Linux
Expertise in development and debugging on Linux platforms
Possess and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication
skills
Ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience in the following areas is a major plus:
Familiarity to protocols like iSCSI, Fibre Channel, SCSI
