Needs to be aware of best practices, complex SW development, not just pure automation. Should be able to create professional SW using design paradigms, data flow diagrams, class diagrams, implementation plan, and deliver code in the most efficient manner. Relate to big picture, relate to top down requirement, with prior understanding of validation, integration, qualification. Ability to challenge current SW development practices, styles, etc.

Part B: Domain knowledge

IP transfer, AMS space. How is a digital IP processed and made compatible for analog top level, or vice versa. Virtuoso to Milkway, and vice versa, since design import/export is done in both directions. Person should know how an IP is handled from interface and integration and associated challenges in logic, power, timing and backend

Understanding how power is modeled, UPF/CPF, NDM

Timing models

Logic models

Understand aspects of IP characterization and modeling

Should be knowing how the analog/mixed signal is modeled at top level for integration purpose: timing arc, power, behavioral, PnR, etc when treated like a grey box

Knowledge of OA database, how is it handled, automated, processed
